eTown's Handmade Songs is designed to give high school songwriters the opportunity and support to perform and record their own original music. On April 3rd, 2013, thirty-five performers from high schools in and around Boulder, Colorado came together at eTown Hall for an evening of live performance and friendly competition. At the end of the evening, four winners were announced. Over the next few months, these young songwriters stopped by eTown's state-of-the-art recording studio to record their songs. The result is being released on CD "Handmade Songs: Volume 1." These high school songwriters impressed the eTown staff so much that turning the album release concert into an eTown Taping was a no-brainer.
